Replace or adjust doors, add weather bars, latches, locks etc
Fix mouldings and trim (eg skirting, architrave) and boxing in for pipes and cables
Supply and install panels on walls and baths
Install hand rails and spindles on stairs
Alterations & repairs
Repairs to modern furniture eg chairs, bookcases
Kitchen worktop removal or refinish
Some conservation & restoration projects eg music box
General maintenance of woodwork and related guidance
Bespoke items
Design & build custom sized items eg stair gate, TV stand, notice board, shoe rack
Design & install built-in storage units eg cupboards, window seats, bookcases
Supply and install extra shelves
In keeping with the versatility of wood, I undertake a variety of projects. Services include, but are not limited to, the tasks above. Internal and external jobs accepted in domestic, commercial or community buildings.
However, I generally don’t take on the following jobs:
- repairs to windows or roofs whilst working at height
- fencing & landscaping
- floor sanding
- antique furniture repairs
- work on external doors in the winter months
